We believe that research is not merely important, but absolutely essential. We are an investment firm known and trusted for the quality of our research, and we believe superior research is the ultimate source of superior investment returns. Our business is to accumulate facts, interpret them, and apply our knowledge to come to investment conclusions for our clients. Quality output depends on quality input, and without excellent research we can’t make sound recommendations. With excellent research, we believe there are no limits to what we and our clients can attain.

We like to say that research is our DNA. What we mean by that is that research is not simply a priority for AllianceBernstein, it is part of our very essence, part of what defines and distinguishes our firm from all the rest. Obviously, we offer much more to clients than just research, but it is from research that all else flows.

Our research disciplines include fundamental research, quantitative research, economic research, and currency forecasting capabilities. We have created several specialist research units, including one that examines global strategic change that affect multiple industries and geographies, to define thought leadership about what conditions exist today, but also what trends are coming.
