Portfolio Objective and Strategy:
The Fund’s investment objective is long-term growth of capital. The Fund invests primarily in equity securities of a limited number of large, carefully selected, high-quality U.S. companies. The Adviser tends to focus on those companies that have strong management, superior industry positions, excellent balance sheets and superior earnings growth prospects. Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in common stocks of large-capitalization companies.
The Team relies heavily upon the fundamental and quantitative analysis of its large internal research staff. Research analysts use the firm’s Dynamic Gap growth philosophy to identify companies with unanticipated long term growth potential. The Team looks for companies whose prospective earnings growth is not fully reflected in current market valuations.
The Fund’s portfolio will tend to emphasize investments in securities issued by U.S. companies, although it may invest in foreign securities.
The Fund normally invests in approximately 50-70 companies, with the 25 most highly regarded of these companies usually constituting approximately 70% of the Fund’s net assets.
