Weston M. Hicks was elected a Director of the General Partner in July 2005. He has been a Director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alleghany Corporation, an insurance and diversified financial-services holding company, since December 2004. Hicks was executive vice president of Alleghany from October 2002 until December 2004. From March 2001 through October 2002, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Chubb Corporation. Hicks holds a BS in business and economics from Lehigh University and is a CFA charterholder.
