Institutional Website Named to Top 10

    September 16, 2008

AllianceBernstein’s Institutional website has for the first time been ranked among the top 10 websites in the industry, placing fourth—just a few hundredths of a point behind third-ranked Fidelity International—in a comprehensive report to be released by industry consultants kasina later this week.

Although highly regarded for the richness of its content, the absence of one-to-one account reporting excluded the AllianceBernstein Institutional site from consideration in previous kasina “Institutional Top 10” lists, which are published every two years. Account reporting was finally added to the site early this year, and will be available to all Institutional clients outside Japan by year-end.

"This is a very significant achievement for the site," says Larry Black, managing director of Online Strategy in Client Communications. "We want to single out the work of Rob Intermont and his web team in IT; Candace Matthews and her team in London, who designed the site and the new reporting area; Jong Park, Peter Casimiro, Andrew Stumacher and the members of the Reporting team; the Institutional writers, brand managers and the many others in Client Communications, Institutional marketing and sales who have contributed to the success of the site."

The Client Communications Online team—which is responsible for the firm's client-facing websites—hopes to build on this success as it develops the new AllianceBernstein.com, which will consolidate the websites into a single destination on the web. The project is scheduled to kick off late next month.

In its report, kasina praises the clarity of the new reporting section of the site. Among the features it notes is the printable Account Summary page, which integrates client-specific data with generic quarterly commentary. It also cites our servicing webcasts and the web-friendly version of our quarterly investment strategy, as well as a feature that allows an advisor or associate to log in as a client.

The prize for the top Institutional site went to Goldman Sachs Asset Management; Pyramis Global Advisors, the institutional asset-management arm of Fidelity, was number two.
