I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it?

If you forgot your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link on the Log In page. You’ll be asked to enter your username or Bernstein ID and your e-mail address. If the information matches what we have on file, we’ll send you an e-mail with instructions on how to change your password.

When I try to log in, I get the following error: The Bernstein ID, Password and/or Profile you have entered is/are invalid.

Verify that you are using the correct username and password, that the Caps Lock on your keyboard is off, and that you have not entered any spaces. Also make sure you have selected the correct Account Type.

When I click the “Log In” button, the Log In page reloads, but my Bernstein ID and password are cleared out. Why am I not logged in?

It is likely that your browser is not configured to accept “cookies” (small pieces of data stored on your computer). Please change your browser settings to accept cookies and then try to log in to the website again. (For more information, please see “How do I set my cookies for the Bernstein website?”)

Why do I need to select an Account Type? Which one should I select?

This new website combines the features and functionality of multiple AllianceBernstein websites into one. The account type selection is necessary to authenticate your username and password against the correct account you have with AllianceBernstein, and to display the most relevant website features for your account.

How can I change my personal information on file?

After you log in, you can go to the My Profile section to make edits to your information. This section is located in the top right corner of your browser window.

Why am I being asked to change my username and/or password?

We have enhanced the security on this new website for your protection. We are requiring all usernames and passwords to be at least 6 alphanumeric characters. If your username or password does not meet this security requirement, you will be prompted to update it during the first time you log in to this new website.

What does selecting “Remember Me” do?

Selecting “Remember Me” will store your Account Type and username in a cookie on this PC. When you return to this website in the future, your Account Type and username will be pre-filled in for you, and you will only need to enter your password.

If I think I have been locked out of my account, what can I do?

I have already logged in, but am being prompted to re-login. Why?

You may have been inactive for a few minutes on this website. For security reasons, you will be prompted to re-login if you are trying to access an area of the site that contains your personal or account information.
