Peter J. Tobin

Peter J. Tobin was elected a Director of the General Partner in May 2000. From September 2003 to June 2005, he was special assistant to the president of St. John’s University. From August 1998 to September 2003, Tobin was dean of the Tobin College of Business of St. John’s University, serving as the chief executive and academic leader of that college. He was chief financial officer at Chase Manhattan Corporation from 1996 to 1997. Tobin served as chief financial officer of Chemical Bank (which merged with Chase in 1996) from 1991 to 1996, and as chief financial officer of Manufacturers Hanover Trust (which merged with Chemical in 1991) from 1985 to 1991. He has served on the Board of Directors of CIT Group since 1985 (except for one year during which CIT Group was owned by Tyco). From March 1999 until his retirement in February 2012, Tobin was a director of AXA Financial and AXA Equitable, and served on AXA Financial’s Audit, Investment, Investment and Finance, Organization and Compensation, and Executive Committees.
