Jodie Tapscott is a Vice President and the Director of Responsible Investing Strategy. She is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of AB’s responsible investing strategy; overseeing memberships, partnerships and initiatives; improving AB’s ESG market presence in partnership with Media Relations, Marketing and the Client Group; and leading responsible investing initiatives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Tapscott has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, working across investment management, corporate pensions, wealth management and asset consulting. Prior to joining AB in 2020, she was director of client relations and head of Asia Pacific ex Japan at Sustainalytics—a large global ESG research house—and executive manager of responsible investment and corporate responsibility at Colonial First State. Tapscott is experienced at building and delivering responsible investing product and policy, integrating ESG factors into investment processes, assessing climate and modern slavery risk, and delivering large divestment projects. She held portfolio management, manager research and investment governance responsibilities at AMP and AMP Capital Investors from 2012 to 2016, and began her career as an investment consultant with Mercer in 2006. Tapscott holds a BEc in economics, with concentrations in economics and finance, from the University of New South Wales, and an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management at Macquarie University. She sits on the Australian Financial Services Council’s ESG Working Group, is a global member of 100 Women in Finance and is an Australian Ballet Ambassador. Location: Sydney/London
