James T. Tierney, Jr.

James T. Tierney, Jr., Chief Investment Officer—Concentrated US Growth, James T. Tierney, Jr. is Chief Investment Officer of Concentrated US Growth. Prior to joining AB in December 2013, he was CIO at W.P. Stewart & Co. Tierney began his career in 1988 in equity research at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, where he analyzed entertainment, healthcare and finance companies. He left J.P. Morgan in 1990 to pursue an MBA and returned in 1992 as a senior analyst covering energy, transportation, media and entertainment. Tierney joined W.P. Stewart in 2000. He holds a BS in finance from Providence College and an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University. Location: New York

Ben Ruegsegger, CFA

Ben Ruegsegger, CFA, Portfolio Manager—Sustainable US Thematic; Senior Research Analyst—Sustainable Thematic Equities, Benjamin Ruegsegger is a Portfolio Manager on the Sustainable US Thematic Strategy and a Senior Research Analyst on the Sustainable Thematic Equities Portfolios. He joined the firm in 2001 in an operations role and in 2006 moved to equity research as an analyst covering the financials and consumer-discretionary sectors for the US Mid Cap Growth team. Since 2008, Ruegsegger has supported the Sustainable Thematic Equities Portfolios, covering various sectors in the market, most recently technology. In 2017, he was named Portfolio Manager of the Sustainable US Thematic Strategy. Ruegsegger holds a BA in economics and finance from Eastern University and is a CFA charterholder. Matthew Sheridan, CFA

Matthew Sheridan, CFA, Portfolio Manager—Income Strategies , Matthew Sheridan is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at AB, primarily focusing on the Income Strategies portfolios. He is a member of the Global Fixed Income, Global High Income and Emerging Market Debt portfolio-management teams. Additionally, Sheridan is a member of the Rates and Currency Research Review team and the Emerging Market Debt Research Review team. He joined AB in 1998 and previously worked in the firm’s Structured Asset Securities Group. Sheridan holds a BS in finance from Syracuse University. He is a CFA charterholder. Location: New York

Daryl Clements

Daryl Clements, Portfolio Manager, Daryl Clements is one of the portfolio managers responsible for overseeing the firm’s various municipal bond accounts. He joined AB in 2002 as a municipal credit research analyst, responsible for evaluating municipal issuers nationwide, with a particular focus on the transportation, public power and tobacco-backed bonds sectors. In 2006, Clements joined the portfolio-management team and became a member of the Tax-Exempt Fixed Income Investment Policy Group. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate director for Financial Guaranty Insurance Company (FGIC) for six years, covering various issuers and sectors nationwide. For the five years prior to that, Clements was a research associate for Moody’s Investors Service, assigning ratings for the southwest region of the country and New York. He holds a BS in business, management and finance from Brooklyn College and an MBA in finance from Pace University. In 2008, he co-authored the “How to Analyze Airport Revenue Bonds” chapter in The Handbook of Municipal Bonds. Location: New York
