Get to Know Your Host 

Karen is a Portfolio Manager for the Multi-Asset Solutions business in EMEA. Karen is a Portfolio Manager for a range of income and thematic multi-asset portfolios, including the All-Market Income Portfolio and American Multi-Asset Portfolio.  As a multi-asset investor, she loves the challenge of looking across the capital markets to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, collaborating with colleagues across all areas of the investment universe to tap into their research along the way. 

With over 20 years’ experience in the financial industry, Karen has strong communication skills that enable her to build lasting relationships with clients and a clear understanding of their investment objectives. Balance and dynamism characterize Karen’s investment philosophy. "It always starts with defining the client outcome we're trying to deliver," she says. To do this, Karen and her team consider not just risk and return objectives, but income and the specific characteristics that accompany asset classes with more attractive yields. A flexible approach allows Karen to manage short-term risk without sacrificing long-term returns. "As income investors, it's important to be nimble," she says.

Karen is a passion advocate for diversity and inclusion, recognizing the value that a diverse team brings to investment decision-making and is co-Chair of the EMEA Diversity Champions Council which focuses on creating a diverse and inclusive culture across the firm.
