We’re looking for talented, highly motivated undergraduate students from populations that are underrepresented in finance. Ongoing Recruiting Time Line

We are always looking for talented students interested in joining one of our programs. Applications will go live in September, and the vetting process will continue from September to April of the following year or until all positions are filled. All qualified candidates are welcome to apply. Our new grads and intern programs both start in June.

Three Program Levels

This is your opportunity to get to know what it’s like to work at a leading asset-management firm. You’ll be responsible for important deliverables with high visibility in a supportive, encouraging environment.

 

What to Expect

Business units across the firm offer 9 – week internships for current college sophomores. These opportunities enable students to develop their interests, expand their skillsets and build invaluable relationships.

  • Opportunity to receive a full-time offer
  • Firmwide onboarding, engagement with senior leaders, participation in networking and social events, etc.
  • Mentoring
  • Ongoing training on presentation skills, capital markets, software and collaboration skills.

Who Can Apply

Undergraduate Sophomores (graduating in 2025) that self-identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian, or Alaska Native from accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with priority given to students from Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Alabama A & M, and Hampton University.

Business units across the firm offer 10-week internships for current college juniors. These opportunities enable students to develop their interests, expand their skill sets and build invaluable relationships.

  • Opportunity to receive a full-time offer
  • Firmwide onboarding: engagement with senior leaders, participation in networking and social events, etc.
  • Mentoring
  • Ongoing training includes presentation skills, capital markets, software and collaboration skills

Who Can Apply

Undergraduate students who have successfully completed their junior year of college may apply. Our typical candidates are looking to gain work experience in the financial asset-management industry. Limited postgraduate level internships are also available.

 
 

What to Expect

Business units across the firm offer direct placement or rotational opportunities for graduating seniors. Typical positions include:

  • Direct-hire placements or two-year rotational programs, depending on business
  • Firmwide onboarding: engagement with senior leaders, participation in networking and social events, etc.
  • Mentoring
  • Ongoing training includes presentation skills, capital markets, software and collaboration skills

Who Can Apply

Graduates who will have successfully completed their undergraduate degree by start of the program. Program starts mentioned above in the ongoing recruiting timeline.

Campus Program Offerings

Investment Services and Sell Side Equity Research

Our Investment Services and Sell Side Equity Research business units offer internships as well as rotational or direct placement opportunities for new grads. This allows new grads to develop their interests, expand their skill sets and build invaluable relationships. 

EQUITIES—Our active, high-conviction equity strategies leverage differentiated research, spanning geographies, capitalization ranges and investment styles—core, growth and value. 

BERNSTEIN RESEARCH keeps clients ahead with the highest caliber of independent research, industry knowledge and trusted execution. In this group, there are three main divisions: Research, Sales and Trading.

PRIVATE ALTERNATIVES—The Private Alternatives team invests directly across a wide array of private asset classes including private credit, private equity fund and private equity co-investments, commercial real estate, and real assets.

Our QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH team is integrated into the research and investment groups to develop and manage risk and return prediction models across all asset classes. We use advanced techniques, like machine learning, to extract insights from data to optimize client outcomes.

FIXED INCOME—With a global platform that integrates fundamental and quantitative research with 24/7 collaboration, we’ve assembled a broad array of fixed-income services.

MULTI-ASSET—We harness our firm’s strength across asset classes and markets, applying an unconstrained approach that results in holistic, integrated solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Client Services

Our Client Group and Private Wealth business units offer internships as well as rotational or direct placement opportunities for new grads. This allows new grads to develop their interests, expand their skill sets and build invaluable relationships.

The CLIENT GROUP manages assets for clients through separate accounts, institutional accounts, commingled vehicles and mutual funds. The group has five functional areas:

  • Sales & Client Service
  • Business Development
  • Product Strategy & Development
  • Marketing

PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT provides investment-management and wealth-planning services for ultra high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and institutions.

Technical Community

Our Technology and Operations business units offer internships for rising juniors and rotational and direct-hire opportunities for graduating college seniors. We embrace innovation and technology to keep our clients and our firm at the leading edge. We offer many career paths for diverse thinkers in the technology community.

The SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT position offers a vast range of financial platforms and products across our business. Project examples include:

  • Developing a system to identify trading opportunities
  • Implementing new quantitative models that enhance the portfolio-management process


The INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERING position supports the networks and systems that our employees rely on. Project examples include:

  • Developing and implementing information-security protocols
  • Conducting research to enhance data-loss protection and antivirus systems

The INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS position includes functions ranging from trading, pricing and risk reporting to account administration and client reporting. Project examples include:

  • Streamlining trade communications and workflows between Trading and Operations
  • Overhauling the security reference master system of Bloomberg data


The BUSINESS ANALYSIS position acts as the liaison between the technology and business in designing solutions. Project examples include:

  • Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to predict future sales and stock prices
  • Developing an automated tool to onboard new hedge funds


The PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT GROUP position supports portfolio-management teams; acts as the contact point with Trading, Operations and Sales; builds portfolios; and monitors asset exposures and allocations.

Corporate

Our Corporate business units offer internships as well as rotational or direct placement opportunities for new grads. This allows new grads to develop their interests, expand their skill sets and build invaluable relationships.

Legal and Compliance
provides leadership and guidance in helping AB, both domestically and internationally, be in the forefront of effective compliance and good corporate governance practices.

Corporate Finance
is responsible within AllianceBernstein to provide credit and capital to meet the firm's business needs. We also function as the primary point of contact for the maintenance and adherence of AllianceBernstein L.P. and its subsidiaries and affiliates internal Policies and Procedures.  Corporate Finance maintains a high degree of internal controls and seek ways to improve the services provided to our internal clients.
