With a new corporate headquarters building nearing completion in Nashville, Tennessee, US, AB enters a new era with an enduring mission: to be our clients’ most valued asset-management partner.

In 2000, a merger unified Alliance Capital’s capabilities in growth equity and corporate fixed income with Bernstein’s expertise in value equity and tax-exempt fixed income. AllianceBernstein’s combination of skills and talent had few precedents in the industry.

Alliance Capital

Alliance Capital was founded in 1971, when the investment-management department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette merged with the investment-advisory business of Moody’s Investors Service. The shared belief: that distinctive research and innovative solutions can drive better outcomes.

Founded in 1967, Sanford C. Bernstein started as a private securities firm named after its founder, an industry icon and contrarian pioneer. Under his vision, the firm grew into one of the largest independent investment managers. To this day, Bernstein is synonymous with exemplary institutional research.
