Katsuaki Ogata is Co-Chief Investment Officer of Japan Value Equities. He became Chief Investment Officer in 2002, playing a pivotal role in building the firm’s Japan-based value investment team, and became Co-CIO in October 2016. Ogata has also served as Chairman of the Board of AllianceBernstein Japan LTD since 2012. Prior to joining the firm as a research analyst in 1996, he was a senior manager for financial planning and marketing at PepsiCo Japan. Previously, Ogata was a consultant at Bain & Co. Japan and a senior field engineer at Schlumberger. He holds a BS from Sophia University in Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University. Location: Tokyo
