Robert McWilliams

Robert McWilliams is a Senior Vice President and the Head of Global Technology and Operations (GTO) at AB. As Head of GTO, he oversees all technology and operations functions of the firm while leading growth strategy, organizational development and management for AB employees and teams across the globe. Prior to his current role, McWilliams served as chief operating officer for GTO, where he was responsible for IT and Operations governance, including the firm’s Project Management Office, and Risk and Audit management. He was also responsible for all organizational, staff and administrative functions of IT and Operations, as well as Corporate Systems Development and Market Data Management. Serving as a partner-advisor to IT and Operations senior leadership, McWilliams established strategic priorities for the organization while identifying, assessing and managing resources, both externally and internally, to meet these goals. Additionally, he was responsible for all internal and client communications related to Technology and Operations. Before joining AB in 2007, McWilliams was the director of organizational development at Citigroup for its finance, technology and operations groups. Prior to Citigroup, he was the senior vice president of learning and development for operations and technology at Salomon Smith Barney. McWilliams holds a BS in computer science from Manhattan College. Location: Nashville
